Fiber Fiber Broadband Switch Installation Instructions

Install your Fiber Broadband Switch by connecting the fiber optic cables to the ONT, linking the switch to your router, and configuring network settings via the switch's admin panel.

Step 1: Prepare Your Equipment

Ensure you have the following components ready:

• Fiber optic switch (e.g., Fibersystem switch)
• Optical Network Terminal (ONT) provided by your ISP
• Fiber optic cables (SC/APC or SC/UPC connectors)
• Ethernet cables for LAN connections
• Power adapter for the switch
• Access to a computer or device for switch configuration

Step 2: Connect the Fiber Optic Cable

1. Locate the fiber optic wall outlet where your ISP's fiber line enters your premises.
2. Connect one end of the fiber optic cable to the wall outlet and the other end to the ONT's designated fiber port.
3. Power on the ONT and wait for the status lights to stabilize (usually 2–5 minutes), .

Step 3: Link the Switch to the Network

1. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the ONT's LAN port to the uplink port on your fiber switch.
2. Connect your devices (computers, access points, or routers) to the switch's LAN ports.
3. Power on the switch using the provided adapter .

1. Access the switch's admin panel by opening a browser and entering the default IP address (commonly 192.168.1.1) and netmask (e.g., 255.255.255.0), .
2. Log in using the default credentials provided in the switch manual.
3. Configure VLANs, port settings, or QoS as required by your ISP or network setup.
4. Save the configuration and reboot the switch if prompted.

Step 5: Connect to Your Router (Optional)

• If using a separate router, connect one of the switch's LAN ports to the router's WAN port using an Ethernet cable.
• Enter ISP credentials in the router's admin panel if required.

• Check that all connected devices have internet access.
