  • Straight-line distance: Measure the direct distance between the devices.
  • Routing path: Account for the actual path the fiber will take, including bends, conduits, bridges, or obstacles. This ensures the pigtail is long enough to follow the installation route without tension . 3. Consider Bending Radius Ensure the pigtail meets the minimum bending radius to prevent signal loss or fiber damage. Typically, multimode fibers require a minimum radius of 30mm, while single-mode fibers require about 10mm . 4.
