Cable Selection

  • ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) Cable: Can span long distances without additional support, suitable near power lines, and resists high tensile forces and environmental stress .
  • Messenger-Supported Cable: Uses a steel messenger wire for support, ideal when existing support structures are available .
  • Ensure the cable jacket is UV-resistant, typically black polyethylene with carbon black, to withstand sunlight and outdoor conditions .

Pole and Hardware Installation
